Man died of head trauma after Tigerland bar fight, Baton Rouge Police looking for leads

BATON ROUGE, La. (BRPROUD) – The East Baton Rouge Parish Coroner’s Office issued preliminary autopsy results for a man who died after a weekend fight at Fred’s Bar and Grill, 1184 Bob Pettit Blvd. Baton Rouge Police are still looking for information and suspects in the case.

The coroner said the preliminary results show the manner of death for Devin Repath, 26, was a homicide, and the cause of death was blunt force trauma to the head.

He died from the “injuries sustained during the fighting incident,” BRPD said. They said the fight took place around 1:18 a.m. Saturday, March 23.

He was transported to a local hospital after being knocked unconscious, BRPD said.

J.P. Repath said his son was declared brain dead on Sunday, and his organs were donated through the Louisiana Organ Procurement Agency.
