Man dead after jumping from downtown Tampa apartment complex, police say

TAMPA — A man has died after jumping off the 14th floor of the Heron apartment complex at Channelside Drive and Water Street on Friday, Tampa police said.

Tampa Police Department spokesperson Jamel Laneè said the call came in around 4:34 p.m. Friday. The man’s age had not yet been disclosed, Laneè said. No other details were immediately available.
