Man dead, 2 others injured after crash in Montgomery County

MONTGOMERY COUNTY, Md. (DC News Now) — The Montgomery County Police Department said a man was killed and two other people were injured in a crash overnight on Saturday.

Police said that at about 12:20 a.m., they responded to the area of Connecticut Avenue at Quincy Street for the report of a collision.

Shooting in Southeast DC leaves man dead

First responders said that both cars were traveling on Connecticut Avenue, near Quincy Street when they crashed.

One of the cars hit a Pepco pole and several trees, while the other car overturned.

The driver of one of the cars, who was identified as 29-year-old Jobani Alfredo Cruz of Washington, D.C., was pronounced dead at the scene.

A man and a woman were also transported to the hospital for non-life-threatening injuries.
