Man critically hurt in triple shooting in Southeast DC

WASHINGTON (DC News Now) — The Metropolitan Police Department (MPD) said three people went to the hospital after a shooting early Wednesday morning in Southeast D.C.

Officers responded to reports of a shooting in the 3300 block of D St. SE just before 1 a.m. There, officers found three people who had been shot.

One man had critical injuries and was unconscious and barely breathing at the time.

A second man and a woman were found conscious and breathing. All three were taken to hospitals for treatment of their injuries.

As of 1:30 a.m., MPD did not have any information regarding possible suspects or motives.
