Man in critical condition after vehicle crash involving motorcycle

MEMPHIS, Tenn. — A man is in critical condition after a two-vehicle crash involving a motorcycle in Southeast Shelby County.

Officials say the crash occurred around 11:40 a.m. Saturday morning.

SCSO traffic investigators are on the scene the crash that took place on Shelby Drive at Long Creek Road in Southeast Shelby County.

An adult male was taken to Regional One Hospital in critical condition. The accident is under investigation.

Drivers are asked to use Gertrude Drive and E Holmes Road as an alternate route.

Meesho, an Indian social commerce platform with 150M transacting users, raises $275M
Meesho, a leading e-commerce startup in India with about 150 million transacting users, has secured $275 million in a new funding round, the company disclosed in a securities filing. The Bengaluru-headquartered startup, which operates a social commerce platform, is being valued at about $3.9 billion in the round, the people said, requesting anonymity as deliberations are still ongoing. There have been a few investors trying to get into Meesho, including WestBridge Capital and Norwest Venture Partners.

Around 550 employees across autonomous vehicle company Motional have been laid off, according to information taken from WARN notice filings and sources at the company. Earlier this week, TechCrunch reported that Motional is pausing commercial operations and delaying plans to launch a robotaxi service with its next-gen Hyundai Ioniq 5 robotaxis until 2026 as it undergoes restructuring. Anthropic now lets kids use its AI tech -- within limits
AI startup Anthropic is changing its policies to allow minors to use its generative AI systems -- in certain circumstances, at least. Announced in a post on the company's official blog Friday, Anthropic will begin letting teens and preteens use third-party apps (but not its own apps, necessarily) powered by its AI models so long as the developers of those apps implement specific safety features and disclose to users which Anthropic technologies they're leveraging. In a support article, Anthropic lists several safety measures devs creating AI-powered apps for minors should include, like age verification systems, content moderation and filtering and educational resources on "safe and responsible" AI use for minors.
