Man in critical condition after South Memphis shooting

MEMPHIS, Tenn. — A man is in critical condition after a shooting Saturday night in South Memphis.

At 11:23 p.m., officers responded to 750 South Parkway regarding a shooting.

Overnight triple shooting on Beale Street leaves 1 critical, 2 in non-critical condition

Officers located a male victim suffering from an apparent gunshot wound. He was taken to Regional One Hospital in critical condition.

Police say this is an ongoing investigation.

Meesho, a leading e-commerce startup in India with about 150 million transacting users, has secured $275 million in a new funding round, the company disclosed in a securities filing. The Bengaluru-headquartered startup, which operates a social commerce platform, is being valued at about $3.9 billion in the round, the people said, requesting anonymity as deliberations are still ongoing. There have been a few investors trying to get into Meesho, including WestBridge Capital and Norwest Venture Partners.

Around 550 employees across autonomous vehicle company Motional have been laid off, according to information taken from WARN notice filings and sources at the company. Earlier this week, TechCrunch reported that Motional is pausing commercial operations and delaying plans to launch a robotaxi service with its next-gen Hyundai Ioniq 5 robotaxis until 2026 as it undergoes restructuring. An employee at Motional who spoke to TechCrunch on the condition of anonymity said every team has been affected, with high-level departures including the company’s chief operating officer, Abe Ghabra.
