Man connected to burglaries arrested at Dunn Loring Metro Station, police say

FAIRFAX COUNTY, Va. (DC News Now) — Police said they arrested a man responsible for four burglaries in the Dunn Loring area shortly after one of the crimes took place.

The Fairfax County Police Department (FCPD) said William Westray, 58, of Maryland broke the basement window of a home in the 7900 block of Tire Swing Rd. around 10:25 a.m. on May 24. People who live there said they heard and saw the break-in as it took place. Police said the people who were in the home challenged Westray who was gone by the time officers got to the home.

FCPD said officers found and arrested Westray as he tried to board the train at the Dunn Loring Metro Station, which is a short distance from the home where the break-in happened.
