Man charged with felony attempted robbery, assault in Iredell County
IREDELL COUNTY (QUEEN CITY NEWS) — Erskine Allen Morrison, 39, is facing charges after deputies said he broke into a home on Jennings Road Saturday.
Deputy English with the Iredell County Sheriff’s Office responded to Jennings Road after a caller reported a breaking-and-entering and assault. The caller stated that the suspect had entered the home holding a weapon and demanding money.
The caller said the suspect was no longer at the scene and fled in a silver pickup truck.

Once at the scene, Deputy English spoke to the victim, who had a contusion from being struck by a blunt object.
Morrison was later found and charged with felony attempted robbery with a dangerous weapon, felony breaking and entering to terrorize or injury, and felony assault with a deadly weapon to inflict serious injury.
Morrison was taken to the Iredell County Detention Center and issued a $20,000 secured bond.
