The rapper was reportedly kidnapped, assaulted, and robbed in July

Federal authorities have arrested a suspect believed to be responsible for kidnapping and assaulting Tekashi 6ix9ine in July, TMZ and Page Six report. 6ix9ine told police in July that he was attacked and robbed of an undisclosed amount of jewelry after two men forced him to get into their vehicle.

One suspect, Anthony Jamel Ellison, was reportedly detained last week on a federal warrant. A grand jury reportedly indicted him on one count of carrying a firearm to commit a crime, one count of conspiracy to obstruct commerce by robbery, and one count of obstructing commerce by robbery. Ellison, who reportedly pled not guilty to all charges, awaits trial in Manhattan federal prison.

Last week, gunshots were fired on the set of a video shoot involving 6ix9ine, Kanye West, and Nicki Minaj. Recently, 6ix9ine’s manager surrendered to police in connection with an October incident that left one of 6ix9ine’s bodyguards shot.

In October 2015, Hernandez pleaded guilty to use of a child in a sexual performance. His plea agreement stipulated that he would not commit another crime for two years. In August, the Manhattan District Attorney’s Office recommended he be sentenced to one-to-three years in state prison and register as a sex offender. He avoided prison time last month, instead receiving four years of probation and 1,000 hours of community service. He was not required to register as a sex offender.
