Man arrested after multiple county police chase

LAKE HALLIE, Wis. (WLAX/WEUX) – A man is in custody after a police chase that started in Lake Hallie and ended in Trempealeau County. Around 10:15 last night (4/23/24), Lake Hallie Police say an officer tried to stop a pickup with an expired license plate when the driver took off southbound on Highway 53. The chase ended in Trempealeau County when tire deflation devices were deployed.

The driver, 41-year-old Anthony Ledesma from River Falls, was taken into custody. Police say he showed signs of impairment and the vehicle was found to be stolen out of Milwaukee. There was also a felony warrant for him out of California. He was booked into the Chippewa County Jail.
