Man arrested after I-70 road rage

MESA COUNTY, Colo. (KREX) — A man is in custody after allegedly firing multiple bullets at another car while driving on I-70.

Mesa County Sheriff’s Deputies received a report Thursday night from a westbound I-70 traveler saying they were involved in a road rage incident with another vehicle. The caller told police the suspect pointed a handgun out the window and fired multiple bullets toward the car when the victim attempted to pass the suspect near Mile Marker 50.

Palisade Police officers found the suspect’s vehicle at the Golden Gate Gas Station in Palisade and detained the driver, 41-year-old Christopher Ryan, until deputies arrived on scene.

Law enforcement found a handgun in the vehicle matching the witness’s description during a search of the vehicle.

Deputies arrested Ryan and transported him to the Mesa County Detention Facility for multiple charges.

No injuries or damage to any vehicles were reported from this incident.
