Man arrested for fatal shooting at Fairfax County gas station

FAIRFAX COUNTY, Va. (DC News Now) — The Fairfax County Police Department (FCPD) said it arrested a man from D.C. in connection to a fatal shooting that happened in Fair Haven.

Doniel Drake, 44, of Washington D.C., was arrested in connection to the deadly shooting that happened at a Citgo gas station at 6241 Richmond Hwy. Tuesday morning.

Police said they believe Drake was arguing with the victim, 38-year-old Arthur Edward Mann II, of Fairfax, at a gas pump before pulling out a gun and shooting him.

Drake was taken to the Fairfax County Adult Detention Center, where he was held without bond.

He was charged with second-degree murder and use of a firearm in the commission of a felony.

FCPD said it was still investigating what led up to the shooting. Anyone with information was asked to call (703) 246-7800, option 2.
