Man arrested in connection to Pensacola nightclub shooting: PPD

PENSACOLA, Fla. (WKRG) — Authorities have made an arrest in Sunday’s shooting at Paparazzi that left one person injured, according to a Pensacola Police Department press release.

31-year-old Jovon Booker, of Pensacola, was arrested near Belmont and De Villiers in Pensacola by Pensacola Police, the US Marshall’s Office, the Drug Enforcement Administration, and the Florida Highway Patrol.

Booker was charged with the shooting at the nightclub, carrying a concealed weapon, and firing a deadly missile inside a building, the release said.

“This quick arrest was made in partnership with our federal and state partners and is an example of the resources we will activate to ensure those responsible for violence in our community are held accountable,” said Pensacola Police Chief Eric Randall.

Officials say that no other information is being released at this time.
