Man arrested in Ballinger after wife found dead in own home

SAN ANGELO, Texas (Concho Valley Homepage) — A man was arrested by the Ballinger Police Department on Tuesday, March 5, on a murder charge after his wife was allegedly found dead in her own home.

According to the Ballinger Police Department, Mary Barker was found deceased in her house after officers were called to her residence in the afternoon for a welfare check.

45-year-old James Boyette Barker, Mary Barker’s husband, was arrested later that day.

James Barker is being held in the Runnels County Jail.
