Man arrested in Anson County for attempted murder in Chesterfield County: Sheriff

ANSON COUNTY, N.C. (QUEEN CITY NEWS) — A man has been arrested for attempted murder out of Chesterfield County, according to the Anson County Sheriff’s Office.

On Wednesday, April 24, deputies from the Chesterfield County Sheriff’s Office called deputies in Anson County about a wanted man, identified as Christopher Goodwin.

Officials say he had four outstanding warrants for attempted murder from an incident that occurred earlier on Wednesday the 24th in Chesterfield, S.C.

Goodwin was found and arrested without incident in Anson County. He was also charged with possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, officials said.

Goodwin was booked into the Anson County Jail without bond due to the fugitive warrant and has a court date set for May 7.
