Man arrested after allegedly abandoning stolen vehicle in pasture and fleeing into woods in Polk County
LIVINGSTON, Texas (KETK) – The Polk County Sheriff’s Office (PCSO), aided by several other agencies, used tracking dogs to find a man who allegedly fled from police on Saturday.

According to the PCSO, on Friday the Livingston Police Department attempted a stop on a vehicle that they believed to be stolen out of Houston. Officials said that the driver fled and was being pursued by Livingston PD, PCSO, and Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS).
Authorities said that the driver was allegedly driving at high speeds, turned onto loop 116, then drove through a gate and into a pasture where he jumped from the moving vehicle and fled into the woods on foot. Officials said that tracking dogs were requested from the Texas Department of Criminal Justice to aid in the search.
PCSO said that they received a tip in reference to the suspect on Saturday afternoon near Moscow, units from PCSO, Livingston PD, and Texas Parks and Wildlife responded to the reported area.
The suspect identified as Brian Brown, of Point Blank, was reportedly located and taken into custody without incident.
PCSO said that Brown was transferred to the Polk County Jail and was charged with evading arrest or detention with a vehicle, unauthorized use of a vehicle and four outstanding warrants from other counties. His bond was set at $40,000.
