Man arrested 3 years after fatal Manhattan shooting: NYPD

MANHATTAN, N.Y. (PIX11) — A suspect is accused of shooting a man to death during an argument on a Manhattan street nearly three years ago, police said Monday.

Deion King, now 20, was arrested and charged Friday with murder for allegedly killing Keyshawn Cureton, 21, on June 27, 2021, according to the NYPD.

King allegedly shot Cureton, a Bronx resident, in the back, neck, and left ankle during an argument near West 136th Street and Lenox Avenue in Harlem at around 6:50 p.m., according to sources and police. The victim was rushed to the hospital but could not be saved.

It was unclear how or where King, who lives on 136th Street in Manhattan, was apprehended, police said.

King pleaded not guilty and was held without bail during his arraignment on Monday, according to court records. His attorney could not immediately be reached Monday.
