Man accused of trying to climb wall of Orleans Parish Sheriff’s Office detention center

NEW ORLEANS (WGNO) — A man is in the custody of the Orleans Parish Sheriff’s Office after allegedly trying to climb a wall behind a detention center on Wednesday, March 13.
According to OPSO employees, a man in a white shirt and cargo shorts was seen trying to climb up a wall behind its temporary detention center on Perdido Street near the Norman C. Francis I-10 overpass around 1:36 p.m.
Kenner man sentenced in roommate’s fatal shooting
OPSO officials said deputies took the man, identified by the OPSO as 29-year-old Dylon Guidry, into custody at 1:47 p.m.
They said Guidry is being booked and faces charges of attempted burglary, resisting arrest by force, trespassing and attempting to bring contraband (cell phone) into the jail.
