Man accused of stalking ex-wife with tracking device

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) — Metro police have charged a 37-year-old man with stalking after officers located a tracking device on his ex-wife’s car last year, according to an arrest report.

This investigation began in March when the victim told officers she parked her vehicle at Music City Center and when she returned, one of her tires was flat.

MCC provided video footage to Metro police, which showed a white GMC Denali registered to the defendant entering the garage, per the affidavit.

According to arrest documents, after the Denali was parked, the defendant was seen exiting the vehicle and crouching down next to the driver side of the victim’s vehicle for a few minutes before driving away.

A few weeks later, on March 22, the victim came to the Family Safety Center where officers located a black magnetic tracking device near her back left wheel, Metro police said.

The victim told officers she did not place the tracking device there.

Authorities noted the victim made a police report detailing harassment by the defendant from the end of October 2023 through February 2024.

The defendant was booked into the Metro jail and charged with stalking, which is considered to be a misdemeanor.
