Man accused of raping, asking child for pictures in Poinsett County, Arkansas

MEMPHIS, Tenn. — A man is now in jail after being accused of raping a child in Poinsett County, Arkansas last year in November.

Conrad Everett Paul Clouse, 29, is charged with one count of forcible rape. He is currently being held on a $250,000 bond.

On November 29, 2023, the victim’s neighbor made a report to the Arkansas Child Abuse Hotline regarding the incident. The sheriff’s office was notified the next day.

Reports state that the victim had received a text from Clouse offering to buy them vapes if they would send him pictures. He did not request nude photos but mentioned pictures that he had seen of the victim in crop tops.

On November 30, investigators with the Crimes Against Children Division conducted a forensic interview with the victim.

Investigators say that Clouse left Arkansas and moved to Ohio after being confronted with the accusations and never returned.

On February 22, 2024, detectives in Ohio interviewed Clouse after investigators in Arkansas reached out to them about the case.

During the interview, detectives say that Clouse denied the allegations in the beginning. He then admitted that he “started to have an attraction towards the victim over the past year in 2023”.
