Man accused of making video recordings in women’s bathroom of Collinsville church

A Missouri man has been charged in connection with the unauthorized video recording of two women inside a bathroom in a Collinsville nondenominational church.

Wayne E. Stombaugh, 60, of Imperial, Missouri, faces three felony counts of unauthorized video recording at Unity Spiritual Center at 700 W. Clay St., according to police and charging documents.

The recordings were made in June and July last year, according to charges filed Wednesday by the Madison County State’s Attorney’s Office.

Collinsville Police Lt. Mark Kuechle said Stombaugh had not been arrested as of Thursday morning.

Kuechle said Stombaugh had attended services at the church and that police were called in August about the recordings.
