Man accused of killing teenage girlfriend extradited from Mexico

(FOX40.COM) — A man who is suspected of his killing 18-year-old girlfriend in Tracy was extradited from Mexico, according to the Tracy Police Department.

Antonio Flores-Cuellar was booked into the San Joaquin County Jail after being turned over to Tracy police detectives on April 26.

Police said Flores-Cuellar was wanted in connection to the murder of Andrea Cervantes, who was killed on June 22, 2019 at an apartment complex on West Carlton Way near Holly Drive.

Shortly after Cervantes was killed, police said Flores-Cuellar, who was 41 at the time, fled out the country to Mexico.

Following an investigation, police said Flores-Cuellar was arrested by U.S. Marshal agents and booked into a Mexican jail on Dec. 21, 2023.

Tracy police urged anyone with information related to the homicide to call the department at 209-831-6550.
