Man, 43, killed in Delaware County crash

DELAWARE, Ohio (WCMH) — A 43-year-old man has died after a crash early Wednesday morning in Delaware County.

According to the Ohio State Highway Patrol, Stephen Spengler was driving a Ford just before 3:45 a.m. and was going east on Kilbourne Road in Kingston Township. Spengler drove off the left side of the road and hit a tree.

Medics arrived at the scene and pronounced Spengler dead. OSHP said that he was not wearing a seat belt at the time of the crash but have yet to determine if impairment or distractions were factors as well.

OSHP is continuing to investigate the crash.
