Man, 40s, found shot to death in downtown Los Angeles
Detectives with the Los Angeles Police Department are investigating after man in his 40s was found shot to death in downtown Los Angeles Monday, authorities confirmed to KTLA.
L.A. police responded to reports of shots fired near Winston and Los Angeles streets at around 3:30 a.m.
At the scene, authorities discovered the victim, only described as a man in his 40s who appeared to be homeless, on the ground.
Medical personnel with the Los Angeles Fire Department responded to the location and declared the man deceased.
Details are extremely limited, but Central Bureau Homicide Detective Lt. Ryan Rabbett said that witnesses told officers that the victim had been involved in some sort of dispute with a couple of individuals.
“We’re looking further into that,” he added. “In addition, we’re looking into video evidence that we know is downtown.”

Authorities did not provide any description of the suspects, nor did they say if they fled on foot or in a vehicle.
