3-year-old girl, man struck by vehicle while riding bicycle in Loop

CHICAGO — A 44-year-old man and 3-year-old girl were hit by a car while riding a bicycle in the Loop.

The incident happened around 6 p.m. Wednesday in the 1100 block of South Wabash. Police said a woman traveling eastbound in a Suburu turned right onto Wabash and struck the man who was riding a bicycle with a 3-year-old girl.

The man was transported to Northwestern Hospital in good condition. The girl was transported to Lurie Children’s Hospital in good condition.

According to police, citations were issued to the driver. No other injuries were reported.
