Malvern man dies following two-vehicle crash in Carroll County

AUGUSTA TWP. – A Malvern man died Wednesday night following a two-vehicle crash on County Road 10 in Carroll County.

Dakota Kincaid, 26, of East Rochester was heading north in a 2010 Ford Escape at 7:05 p.m. when his vehicle traveled left of center and collided with a southbound 2020 Chrysler Voyager driven by Patrick Snow, 71, the Ohio State Highway Patrol said.

The Escape went off the road, struck a tree and overturned. The Voyager came to rest off the right side of the road.

Snow, who was wearing a seat belt, was taken to Aultman Hospital in Canton where he was pronounced dead.

Kincaid, who was not wearing a seat belt, was taken to Cleveland Clinic Mercy Hospital in Canton with a serious injury.

The patrol suspects alcohol was a factor in the crash, which remains under investigation, according to a news release.

The Carroll County Sheriff's Office, Augusta Fire Department, Sandy Creek Fire Department, McNinch Towing and Prendergast Towing assisted at the scene.
