Manny Gutierrez is a makeup YouTuber with millions of subscribers and a Maybelline ambassadorship. He also has a dad who does not seem to take haters lightly.

In early January, the conservative blogger Matt Walsh, who often shares anti-LGBTQ messages on Twitter, posted a picture of Gutierrez wearing makeup, writing "Dads, this is why you need to be there to raise your sons."

Gutierrez did not have time for Walsh, responding that his dad, quite simply, is proud of who he is. "Being a man isn't about how 'tough' or 'masculine' you are," he tweeted Saturday. "It's about taking care of the ones you love."

But Manny Sr. wanted to say his piece, writing a blistering riposte to Walsh that Gutierrez shared.

"Not only am I proud of what he has accomplished but I'm more proud of the person he has become," he wrote in a text Gutierrez posted on Twitter.

"I know the words you speak are from lack of knowing anybody from the LGBT community. If you did, you would soon realize they are some of the most real and kind hearted individuals that walk this planet of ours."

Basically, cease and desist. And next time, choose your "actions and words" more wisely.

Mashable has reached out to Gutierrez and his dad for comment.

Gutierrez had plenty of others fans sticking up for him on social media, but it's always good to know your dad's on your team.
