Maize students learn generosity and science with cereal

MAIZE, Kan. (KSNW) – Maize Central Elementary students collected hundreds of cereal boxes as part of the Dominoes of Generosity event. It was held on Friday.

Before donating the cereal, over 1,000 boxes were lined down the hallways. The boxes were then knocked down like dominoes in front of the students as part of a lesson.

“They’re absolutely learning all the science and all of the physics that are involved in it, but hopefully, what they’re learning is just that we have a responsibility to help other people if we can,” Diana Meister, STEAM teacher, said.
