Mail-in, absentee ballot application deadline is 5 p.m. today

Apr. 16—Today is the deadline for registered voters of Crawford County to submit applications for mail-in and absentee ballots to the Crawford County Board of Elections for the April 23 primary.

Applications must be received by 5 p.m. at the Crawford County Office of Election and Voter Services at the Crawford County Courthouse, 903 Diamond Park, Meadville.

The Board of Elections recommends allowing approximately 20 minutes for processing for those applying in person today.

A completed mail-in or absentee ballot may be mailed or returned in person to the office. However, if returning a ballot in person, a voter may only return their own ballot.

Whether by mail or hand delivery, the ballot must arrive at office by 8 p.m. April 23 in order to be counted in the primary election.
