Maid of the Mist to open early for 2024

BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) — One of Niagara Falls’ most popular attractions will soon set sail next month.

The Maid of the Mist will open to passengers starting at 10 a.m. April 4, giving visitors the chance to get an up-close and iconic look at the Falls for the 139th consecutive year. The season will run through Nov. 3.

Tours will depart every 30 minutes from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday and from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. on weekends as well as on April 8 for the total solar eclipse.

“A mild winter will allow us to open early this year,” said Maid of the Mist president
Christopher M. Glynn in a release. “Our crew is ready to welcome the world to Niagara Falls for a bucket list experience that is like no other.”

Adult tickets for the Maid of the Mist are $28.25 and $17.75 for children ages 6 to 12. Children under 5 years old can get the boat for free with an accompanying adult.

Last year, the Maid of the Mist unveiled a fleet of new e-boats, the “James V. Glynn” and “Nikola Tesla Maid.”
