Magnitude 5.5 quake hits southern Japan

TOKYO (Reuters) - An earthquake with a preliminary magnitude of 5.5 hit Kumamoto prefecture in southern Japan on Tuesday, broadcaster NHK said. A tsunami warning had not been issued, NHK added.
