MAFS Australia star announces engagement

Married at First Sight Australia star Matt Ridley is engaged.
Familiar to reality TV fans for being matched with Kate Laidlaw in the 2022 season, Matt proposed to school teacher Dominique Nielsen at Queensland's Noosa Beach last month, according to Daily Mail Australia.
"Since the show, life has been pretty damn amazing. I have enjoyed and embraced the public's affection towards me, hosting events, sharing my life to fans on Instagram, and ultimately, finding the love of my life in Dominique!" he told the publication.

The happy couple first met via a dating app two years ago, and by their third date Matt had already met Dominique's mum.
"We shared our first kiss on our first date and we both didn't want that first night to end. It was full on really early, but we loved it that way," he added.
Matt has taken on a stepchild in Dominique's 10-year-old son Heath, too, and the pair plan to add to their family.
"I relish and love this stepdad role that I have with Heath," he shared. "There is a lot of love in our house and it sounds right to share that with a sibling for Heath."

This month has been a big one for MAFS Australia alumni, with cast member Ella Ding and new husband Guy Palermo tying the knot just weeks after he popped the question.
Meanwhile, MAFS UK star JJ Slater has recently opened up on his new romance with Katie Price, saying they have already discussed marriage 5 months into their relationship, adding: "It would have been ideal on MAFS if I was at the altar and I turned around and it was Kate walking down. It would have saved a lot of time."
