If you are pulled over, you will need to have your driver’s license, proof of insurance and vehicle registration ready to present to the officers. Deputies will check the vehicle for any violations such as ensuring drivers are wearing seatbelts, checking for any signs of alcohol or drug impairment and any outstanding warrants.

In addition to these checks, specially trained officers will test anyone suspected of driving under the influence of drugs.

Drivers who are caught driving impaired can expect the impact of a Driving Under the Influence (DUI) arrest to include jail time, fines and fees, DUI classes and other expenses that can be more than $10,000.
