Macky Mathay: Yes, I am dating Sunshine Cruz!
1 Nov - Macky Mathay, the half-brother of actress Ara Mina, has finally admitted that he is currently dating actress Sunshine Cruz.
As reported on Rappler, Mathay, who was first linked to Cruz last month when they were photographed out on the street together, admitted that the two of them started seeing each other some time in September.
It started simply, said Mathay, with a direct message on Instagram.
"It was that simple. I sent her a message, saying 'hi'. Then I sent another message," he said.
Mathay said that he didn't forget to mention that he was Mina's brother in the second message, and that it was the perfect timing since Cruz was in Brunei with the actress at the time.
Mathay also admitted that he was the first to fall in love in their relationship, and that it was him who said "I love you" first.
"I told her that I don't want to rush her into anything. I said that I can wait," he added.
Mathay, who himself was married before, stated that he understood Cruz's position, since she had gone through a lot in her previous marriage.
"[I told her] that we've been through so much in our lives, that at some point, we may not find anyone else to love. So why should you hold back on what you're feeling?" he said.
