Hilton reports improving earnings — and has its eye on pet-friendly travel

The Covid-19 pandemic has caused the hospitality industry to go to the dogs, and it’s to those family pets that one of the world’s top hotel executives is looking to help with the recovery. Chris Nassetta, CEO of Hilton Worldwide Holdings Inc.(NYSE: HLT), said on an earnings call Wednesday he is hoping a surge in new pet ownership during the public health crisis will help the McLean hotel giant appeal to a base of would-be customers set on traveling with their newly adopted canines.
