Sunday was the busiest air travel day of the year as Americans returned home from their Thanksgiving travels. Air traffic on Sunday exceeded 2.4 million people, and has surpassed 2 million on eight of the last 10 days, according to Transportation Security Administration counts of people passing through U.S. airport checkpoints.
