Police in Los Angeles were responding to multiple 911 calls from multiple locations at the city's airport of a possible armed suspect.

Multiple law enforcement sources familiar with the investigation told NBC News that there was currently no evidence of shots fired, an armed individual or anyone injured.

The reports resembled an incident earlier this month at New York's John F. Kennedy Airport in which multiple reports of shots fired turned up no evidence of any shooter, but still spurred panic, an evacuation and delayed flights.
