Here's how metro Orlando hospitals are trying to fix projected nurse shortage

Central Florida hospitals and educators are planning ways to try to combat a big nurse shortage that's only expected to worsen in the next few years. For example, AdventHealth is considering new ways of hiring. Other area hospitals also are working to combat future nurse shortages: Orlando Health: The nonprofit health system and Orange Technical College have a program that provides a one-day course to ensure nursing assistants are prepared on their first day, spokeswoman Kena Lewis told OBJ.
