Hatchimal alert: Target to stock hot toy Sunday
Still looking to get your hands on a Hatchimals? Well, Target (TGT) has you covered.
The retailer said it is expected to restock the hot toy on Sunday, Dec. 11, and will sell it for $59.99 with a limit of two per guest, while supplies last.
The company will also be selling Hatchimal-themed gift cards that can be topped up with any dollar amount. While the gift card does not guarantee that a customer will receive a Hatchimal, it can be used to purchase one as more inventory arrives in late December and early January.
The demand for Hatchimals has skyrocketed as the holidays draw closer and desperate parents have resorted to printing "letters from Santa" to explain to their children why there isn't an egg under the tree.
The Hatchimal website offers its own letter from Santa that parents can download.
"We recognize it may be difficult finding this in-demand toy," Nancy Zwiers, chief marketing officer at Spin Master, told CNBC last week. "We have increased production and a whole new batch of Hatchimals will be ready to hatch in early 2017."
