Are India’s night curfews any good at curbing Covid-19 infections?
There’s a sense of pandemic deja vu in India as states start imposing curfews to stop the spread of coronavirus. The country is in the grip of a raging second wave of Covid-19 infections, which threatens to be worse than India’s worst infection count in September 2020. On April 4, there were over 100,000 new cases of novel coronavirus infections for the first time since the pandemic spread in March 2020, higher than India’s last peak of 98,000 in September.
