Shares of United Parcel Service (NYSE: UPS) climbed 28.4% in July, according to data provided by S&P Global Market Intelligence, with most of those gains coming on the final days of the month. Investors went into earnings season not sure what to expect from transportation companies. UPS said overall package volumes were up 20.9%, with its domestic business up 22.8% and business-to-consumer (B2C) deliveries up 65% in the United States.
