Wayne Simmonds-Brayden Schenn pairing gives Flyers needed sense of normalcy

VOORHEES, N.J. — While seven of his players are still unavailable because of the World Cup of Hockey, there was a bit of familiarity as the Flyers hit the ice Friday for full training camp. Wayne Simmonds was paired with Brayden Schenn on a line usually centered by Claude Giroux, but in the latter’s absence, Jordan Weal was the pivot. “I’ve played a lot of hockey with Simmer over the past five or six years and we kind of know what each other is all about,” Schenn said.
