American Airlines cuts back on Orlando flights during spring break season

American Airline has cut back on flights to Orlando International Airport at the peak of one of the region's busiest seasons. A Business Journals analysis of flight data provided by Cirium Inc. identified dozens of cuts to American’s (Nasdaq: AAL) schedule in March. The bulk of the changes were implemented during the week that commenced Jan. 10 with American showing 1,509 flights through Orlando International Airport, down nearly 4% from 1,571 flights reported a week earlier on Jan. 3.
