• President Joe Biden told reporters on Wednesday that he told Russian President Vladimir Putin during their Geneva summit that “certain critical infrastructure should be off limits to cyber attack, period.” The remark comes after a number of attacks on Western targets, including last month’s ransomware attack on Colonial Pipeline, which shut down a major U.S. fuel pipeline to the East Coast. Biden said he gave Putin a list of 16 entities, from the energy sector to water systems, as he discussed with the Russian President “what’s off limits.”
