Lynchburg man pleads guilty to bank heist conspiracy in New York

ALBANY, N.Y. (WFXR) — A Lynchburg man is facing several years in prison for conspiring to rob a bank in Johnstown, New York.

According to the United States Department of Justice (DOJ), on April 16, 30-year-old Brian Tierney a.k.a “Wodanaz,” of Lynchburg, pled guilty to conspiring to commit bank robbery. He admitted that between Nov. 14 and Nov. 27, 2022, he agreed and planned an armed robbery at a bank in Johnstown with Michael Brown, Jr. a.k.a. “Russ,” and Luke Kenna a.k.a. “Lt.”

The department says Brown drove to New York to conduct surveillance at the bank with Keena, who purchased weapons and other items for the robbery. Investigators revealed that Tierney ordered handgun parts and sent pictures of the gun and a radio scanning and jamming device to use.
