Luzerne County election board partially certifies primary election results

WILKES-BARRE, LUZERNE COUNTY (WBRE/WYOU) — The Luzerne County Election Board partially certified the results of the April primary election Thursday morning.

The republican race for state representative in the 117th district was excluded.

County officials say partial certification was necessary so the approval of other vote tallies was not held up due to ballots that are still subject to potential court appeal.

As it stands, three votes separate republican challenger Jamie Walsh and incumbent Michael Cabell, with Walsh in the lead.
