The luxe sneaker brand that's about to take over your Instagram feed

When we first found that a fashion startup raised $1.2 million in funding to get their foot in the shoe business, we were immediately interested in learning more. Oliver Cabell started as an accessory label producing luxury canvas and leather bags and is now aiming to disrupt the footwear space with handmade sneakers made in Europe (retailing for less than $200). Since the launch, the brand has surpassed 50k followers on Instagram.

Oliver Cabell will release a new style every week following the launch of its initial collection calling it the 'drop of the week'. With brands such as Common Projects and Golden Goose (whose shoes can cost anywhere between $300-$600), the luxe sneaker market may seem a bit saturated, yet head designer and CEO of Oliver Cabell, Scott Gabrielson, begs to differ.

“We believe there is a small catalog of strong sneaker silhouettes, in which we put our twist and rework with luxury materials and process. We are deeply inspired by architecture, design, and modern young culture, which we try to reflect in all of our designs, ” he said to AOL Shop. “It demands a lot of creativity and work to design and get all the materials and production in place, but it’s worth it. Producing styles in limited quantities allows us to release more unique product and be more creative with silhouettes and materials. It doesn’t excite me to say our shoes are exclusive, it’s just the reality of our situation.”

The unisex chic kicks come in a natural color palette ranging from the perfect nude hue to black, white and a subtle grey with two different styles (the Low 1 and the Rennes). Check them out below and be the first of your friends to get your hands on them.
