Luke Rockhold Expected to Face Lorenz Larkin at Strikeforce on Nov. 3

It Was All Fake; Lorenz Larkin Doesn't Believe Luke Rockhold Was Ever Going to Fight Him

Middleweight champion Luke Rockhold will make his next Strikeforce appearance on Nov. 3 and he now has a confirmed opponent.

Rockhold is expected to face Lorenz Larkin at the upcoming card landing in Oklahoma City in November.

Sources close to the fight confirmed to MMAWeekly.com that verbal agreements are in place for the bout, which will co-headline the card featuring a heavyweight main event bout between Daniel Cormier and Frank Mir.

Lorenz Larkin receives the next shot at Luke Rockhold after winning his middleweight debut fight over Robbie Lawler in July.

Larkin is a former light heavyweight with an undefeated record. He has one no contest on his resume after his bout against Muhammed “King Mo” Lawal was overturned following Lawal's suspension for testing positive for a banned substance.

Rockhold will look to make his third consecutive title defense and pick up his third win in 2012, as well. Rockhold defeated both Keith Jardine and Tim Kennedy earlier this year, and will try to go 3-0 when he faces Larkin in November.

Rockhold vs. Larkin is expected to be the co-feature bout on the upcoming Strikeforce card heading to Oklahoma City on Nov. 3 at the Chesapeake Energy Arena.
