Lotto is a $2 jackpot game that offers players three chances at becoming a millionaire. Each play enters a player’s numbers into three drawings, the Jackpot drawing plus Lotto Million 1, and Lotto Million 2.

The odds of claiming a jackpot or a Lotto Million prize are one in 15,890,700 and the big winner picked the life-changing numbers using the Illinois Lottery app.

After taxes, the Lotto winner will take home about $971,000, which equals out to about $24,000 in federal taxes and about $4,900 in state taxes, according to Nerdwallet’s Lottery Tax Calculator.

The winning ticket was just one of more than 46,000 winning tickets sold for Saturday’s drawing.
