Lucedale woman arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence: GCSO

GEORGE COUNTY, Miss. (WKRG) — A Lucedale woman was arrested on Wednesday after allegedly driving recklessly, according to a George County Sheriff’s Office Facebook post.

Alayzia Howell, 22, was stopped by a deputy patrolling the Basin Community near Ellis Hodge Road and River Road, according to the post.

TRAFFIC STOP LOCATION:

“After further investigation, Howell was found to be driving under the influence,” the post said.

She was arrested and is charged with driving under the influence, first offense; driving under the influence, child endangerment; careless driving; no driver’s license; no proof of insurance; and possession of marijuana in a motor vehicle.

“Sheriff Mitchell Mixon would like to encourage the public to report anyone driving recklessly with small children in the vehicle,” the post said.

“It is our responsibility to protect those who cannot protect themselves,” Mixon said in a written statement.
